Reflections on Blogging..

I like blogging.. But the only reason I do it is because it's an assignment, I've never blogged outside of school. I think that if I made another blog, I would eventually forget about it.. The only time I read another blog is when its funny or a how to blog..
In this class, blogging was a nice experience, I liked that I had something of my own where I could put my thoughts about, I feel like Jenna from AWKWARD!!! I didn't really like some of the topics we had to blog about.. That's why they were so short.

Memorial Day!

My family and I celebrate Memorial day in memory of my Grandpa Earl who served in WW2 and Vietnam. We had a Cookout with my family yesterday. But, sadly, my Grandpa Earl wasn't there to celebrate with us. He died in 2002 of throat cancer. I think that everybody should celebrated Memorial Day!! We all need to show how much we honor the troops that have and are still serving for our country!

National Month For ??????

I think that someone decides to set up months to celebrate unusual things because they want something to celebrate for a month. I really don't think that everybody celebrates, because some people don't even know what the celebration for the month is.. Some weird celebrations going on in May are: National Chocolate Chip Day, Mother Goose Day, and Loyalty Day.
I think that in May, we should celebrate National Sleep In Day! We could let everyone around the United States sleep in one hour later. Letting them come into school an hour late too!!

On Mother's Day, my mom didn't know that I was buying a cake for her, my Nana, and my sister Tara. My mom and I went shopping in the morning to pick things up for my sister, brother, and I to make a meal for that evening. We decided to invite my older sister, Tara, over because she's been having a rough time since she is going through a separation. We all had an awesome time!! Tara brought over all her children, that kept the moms busy, while we made the meal. We ended up having some Veggie Pizza, which was delicious!!! I hope your Mother's Day was as good as ours! :)

Cinco De Mayo!!!

Cinco De Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. I think that anybody who wants to celebrate it, should. I don't think it should be a national holiday but people will celebrate it either way. May 6th is national no homework day, so I think that all teachers should participate in national no homework day!! And I think that I will spend national no homework day doing all the homework that my teachers gave me.

Prom!!

I completely agree with Mrs. Chambers, Prom is very overrated!! I think that if you're a senior you should go all out, because it's your last year of high school. I didn't go to prom this year only because I'm going all out next year!! Maybe next year prom will be fun, I've heard this years wasn't the greatest..

Earth Day!!

Earth Day to me means that we are helping the earth be healthier then it is now. The only kind of participation for Earth Day I have be in is that I've planted a tree last year and all this weekend I have been planting a bunch of flowers that I plan on planting in our flower beds :)

Violence on TV!!

I think that the violence on TV is getting a little ridiculous. I think that there is a lot of violence but it could be worse. I mostly watch the really bad ones late at night so i think that they have a lock on that. And I watch violent TV shows all the time!! I think that TV shows have so much violence because people like when there is violence on their favorite TV shows but think that it's bad when when children watch them..

The Walking Dead...
Where do i start, I LOVE THIS SHOW!! But it is really violent, it shows people straight stamping on zombie heads in and zombies eat anybody they can.. I think the appropriate age for people watching it would to be at least 14 years old. Sure some kids watch it and they are younger but if i was their age i wouldn't watch it.

Spring Break!!!!!!

So this Spring Break was something I never want to go through again!!! So Saturday, I went to my sister's house to have a good night, play cards, and hangout with Gannon, my boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend now.. It started out as a good night and we were having fun but when Gannon got there everything went downhill!! I tried to have a conversation with him but he was being really childish and just playing a stupid card game called Magic, which I wasn't okay with.. He didn't talk to me at all that night which, naturally made me pretty mad. So the next day I tried to talk about our relationship with him and he told me he didn't like me anymore... So don't even try and tell me about your bad Spring Break..

My Amazing Weekend!!!

So this was probably the most amusing weekend I've had in years!!! On Friday, I went to my little sister's play which wasn't all that fun. Then Saturday, I went into Adrian and bought my sister a cute rose and then went to see my sister's play again, but this time I went with my older sister and my two oldest nieces. That night the play was funny because I watched a couple people fall on stage, including my sister. After the play was over, we went to my older sister's apartment and hung out with a couple of people, including this amazing man named Gannon :) We celebrated my sister's birthday and had a really fun time! Then Sunday morning we went to Bob Evans and had breakfast to celebrate my sister's birthday some more! All in all I had an AMAZING WEEKEND!!!!!

HARLEM SHAKE!!

You might ask yourself "what is the Harlem Shake?"
Well, the Harlem Sake is a dance that goes along with a techno song where you shake your body like crazy!! I think it is pretty funny and I would definitely do a giant school one. Most people think that the Harlem Shake craze has came and went but I still go to YouTube every night to look up funny ones.

Testing! Testing! Testing!!

I think when we get tested in school for thirteen years, more for some, it is totally necessary if the state wants to know how specific schools are doing with the curriculum they have to teach. But I do think that our education relies on  testing too much because the only test that really helps you go to school is the ACT, but I do think they are needed. If we didn't have tests then teachers wouldn't know where they need to improve upon.
I do think that Standardized tests should be required!! Some people aren't good test takers so I think that there should be specialized tests for specific groups of individuals. All my experiences with testing has been good and I am due to take the Michigan Merritt Exam this week!

TOP FOUR!!

The top four most important things in my life:
1. My Family- I couldn't live without my little sister, Sadi, and my mommy :) Sadi is always there for me whenever I need to talk and since she's only about a year younger she can relate to pretty much anything I tell her. My mom has always been the backbone of our family, when our dad walked out on us she had to try and do the best to support us.. She's my Hero!
2.  My Friends- Me and my sister have pretty much the same friends so if something is wrong with one of them, me or my sister are the first to know! My best friend Heather is the only person I act myself around... You should feel sorry for her!
3.  My Doggy- My dog Rufurd is the most dependable dog anybody would ask for! He is crazy but he's one thing I couldn't live without!
4. My Phone- Logical answer is that if you ask any teenage girl this would be one of their answers!

Popular President!

In my mind I think that Abraham Lincoln was the president that had the greatest impact because he is the one who wanted to fight for the freedom of all people, black or white. I think the hardest thing that a president has to do is deal with the publicity, that probably wasn't a problem for Mr. Lincoln but it is definitely a problem for the most recent presidents. I would never want to be president.. Period! I just think that being the President of the United States would be too much pressure and stress for me.

Charity Event!!

If I had an extra $100,000 to give away I would buy my mom a house, since my sister and I are graduating and leaving home soon. Then I would pay off all my Grandma's debt and put money into her 401K. If I had anymore money left over I would donate it to the Humane Society and and Sand Creek Community Schools.. The dogs would get more money though... Only because I like dogs more then kids.

I want out of here!!

I would much rather be on a beach right now!! I want to be able to sun-bathe in the nice hot sun! I really love being around warm weather and water, not the ocean, but just water. I don't want to go to the ocean because there are tons of tiny things, like jellyfish, that could kill someone, me. Plus, I don't know what I would do if I was face to face with a shark, I'd be the one to splash around like an idiot.

Bug Out!!!

I think if  I was to become a bug, I would want to be a fly because I honestly hate bugs and I would want the quickest way out! I would just sit on a table and wait for my quick little meeting with Mr. Flyswatter. But I wouldn't want to be a maggot.. So if I was a maggot I would get into all the food I could so that the people would know it was me!!

Travel Anywhere!!

If I had the freedom to travel to any city or country in the world, I would go to Sydney, Australia. I've always wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef, and now that marine biologists are saying that the reefs are slowly all dying, I only have a limited time. Not only would I like to see the Great Barrier Reef, I would also like to see the world famous Sydney Opera House. The only thing I wouldn't like would be the heat! Don't get me wrong, I love warm weather, but if the weather is above 100 degrees the only place you'll see me is inside next to an air conditioner.

Vacation Time!!

This winter break was probably the most boring break I've ever had. I literally only sat at home, went Christmas shopping, and then grocery shopping. Exciting, Right? The only okay moment of this break was when I went to my sisters house and played Just Dance 4 all night with my four nieces. I didn't get anything cool for Christmas, mostly just gift cards. If you're wondering whether or not I made a new year's resolution.. Well, the answer is yes! My New Year's resolution is to be nicer to people who deserve it and to stand up for my self or anybody who is looked down upon.
